The Niagara river acts as a natural border between Canada and the USA spanning from
Fort Erie, Ont. and Buffalo, NY to Niagara On The Lake, Ont. and Lewiston, NY.
Perfect for bicycling, or walking, with plenty of picnic areas along the way. |
In August you'll hear the buzz of the Cicada in the trees.
A harmless extra large fly with a distinct sound,
rarely seen but always heard.
At dusk you will find fireflies
along the path.
You will find plenty of places to park along the Niagara river banks for a picnic or barbeque.

Boat launches are located throughout the park waterfront.
Plenty of 100 year old shade trees line the waterfront path.
There's always a cool breeze on those hot summer days. |
Chippawa is a great place to stop and take a break if you're riding the river trail.
Plenty of restaurants and outside patios on the Chippawa creek
to relax and watch
the boats go by.
Kings Bridge Park in Chippawa is part of the Upper Recreation trail. |
|
The trail ends at Old Fort Erie in Fort Erie Ontario, Canada.
